To launch Plates, St. John's has been fortunate to have the support of so many in the community. From the donation of the facility, to the facility design, to the painting and construction, to the training of the women, to the legal work required to get this up and running, to the volunteers that joined us for several 'practice lunches'. This has been a community-wide effort, and we are incredibly grateful to our partners for their support! They include:
Louis Biggers and the Intel team for the development of the business plan
Sacramento State MBA program for their organizational development work
Depot Park who donated the lease for one year
Cari Cowan and Western Contract for designing the Cafe and so many other projects that went with it
L-19 for shepherding the renovation of the former mess hall into a pretty cool Café
Shawn Eldredge and his crew for their construction assistance
Lumens for the donation of lighting
Scot Crocker for assistance with our name, our tagline and our marketing
Robert Ruggiero of Graphic Ambitions for the design of the logo, web site and menu
Bobbin and Patrick Mulvaney, and their entire Mulvaney's B&L crew for training and supporting our women
